Cameras Start Rolling For Ghost Stories, Anurag Kashyap Makes The Announcement
Web-series are slowly taking over films. More and more filmmakers from Bollywood are now interested in developing web-series. Anurag Kashyap is one of them. In fact, one of the pioneers. After the success of his Sacred Games series that did wonders for Netflix India, he has now begun shooting for his another OTT venture Ghost Stories. This one too is in collaboration with Netflix.

On Tuesday, the filmmaker took to Instagram and shared a picture from the sets. Making a goofy face we see him holding clapboard that has Ghost Stories written on it. Looks like the day 1 kickstarted with a bang. “‘Ghost Stories‘ Day one, shoot life,” he wrote. The web-series features Shobhita Dhulipala and Pavail Gulati but they are only for the part directed by Anurag. Ghost Stories is an anthology of four short films which are directed by Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap, Karan Johar and Dibakar Banerjee.

This is for the third time that these four filmmakers have collaborated post Bombay Talkies and Lust Stories. Bombay Talkies released in 2013 while Lust Stories made it to the OTT platform in 2018. It was one successful venture carried out by the four filmmakers. Let’s see how Ghost Stories turns out to be!

Apart from this, Anurag Kashyap will be Saand Ki Aankh coming up. It stars Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead and will hit the theatres on October 25, 2019.   It is about two shooters from rural areas who gain fame post they have crossed their 70s.
